| Kateri Environmental Center and Kateri Day Camp serve thousands of
people of all ages and backgrounds annually. The Kateri Environmental
Center naturalists present innovative environmental education programs
for school, youth, and community groups during the school year. At
Kateri Day Camp , at-risk and handicapped children have fun and thrive
in a safe and healthy country setting. The programs are highly regarded as active, educational and fun. We are
located on 260 beautiful and ecologically diverse acres, owned by the
Sisters of the Good Shepherd. Kateri is not publicly funded, as are
county and state parks. We are part of Collier Services, a non-profit
social service agency. As a private non-profit center run by a small
staff, we must raise our own operating funds to continue our work.
