Nineteen gifted and talented Marlboro
High School students enrolled in the Business Administration Learning
Center's entrepreneur class began their Halloween celebration early this
year by helping Kateri Environmental Center prepare for their annual
Haunted Night Hike. From carving pumpkins and setting them along
the nature trails as jack o'lanterns to gathering wood for the camp
fire, the teens did a "spooktacular" job in getting the site
ready for the hundreds of children and families who participated in the
event.
This project was part of teacher Susan
Field's business curriculum, in which students must research and select
a volunteer project for Make A Difference Day. The volunteer
effort also applied to each student's completion of their individual
community service hours as required by the high school.
